Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre Special Economic Zone (TRIFIC SEZ), ONESPACE, and Chanzo Capital have launched the Chanzo ONESPACE Startup and Scaleup Accelerator (COSSA).

This new initiative aims to support innovative tech ventures in scaling up from their countries of origin to new markets, with the goal of creating African multinational corporations.

The COSSA program will initially focus on tech ventures ready for expansion, leveraging the strategic incentives, one-stop-shop services, and enabling environment of TRIFIC SEZ.

Additionally, ONESPACE will provide high-end office space and administrative support, while Chanzo Capital will offer financial backing through their KINGS (Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa) fund. Beyond financial support, COSSA will provide capacity-building resources and connect participants with business communities in their target markets.

The COSSA program represents a collaboration between three leading African institutions, offering a comprehensive solution to the challenges faced by businesses looking to expand across the continent. By capitalizing on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA), the program aims to create robust African multinational corporations.

In November, Chanzo Capital will host the eleventh edition of its annual Angel Fair Africa in Nairobi. The event will feature COSSA participants pitching to investors, offering further opportunities for growth and investment.

The inaugural COSSA cohort includes SaveApp, At Large Innovation (ThryvCapital Partners LLP), and CheckUPS COVA, all of which are Kenyan companies poised for regional expansion.
